Hunting in Bosnia

About Bosnian Hunting Grounds

odern hunting in Bosnia and Herzegovina starts with the passing of the First hunting Act in 1893, when the regal hunting system was established.

Testified by over 50,000 registered hunters, Bosnia and Herzegovina is a thriving hunting region with a diverse range of wildlife, challenging geographical position and climate conditions.

The diversity comes from a rich topography, with peaks of up to 2387m, diverse basins on which different soil types were formed, and atmospheric influences of both continental and Mediterranean climate.

After years of hunting experience in this area, compared to the rest of the topography, I treasure mild hilly areas as the best ones for hunting.

Game

The most common hunt in the forest landscape of Bosnia and Herzegovina is roe deer, wild boar, birds of prey, wolf, jackal, and fox. Small game: rabbits, pheasants, quails, as well as various types of feathered game.
